Assalamualaikum wr wb,

Well I’m going to copy and paste the Final Sermon of Prophet Muhammad (saw). The link is: http://www.iqrasense.com/about-islam/the-last-sermon-khutbah-of-prophet-muhammad-farewell-sermon.html They really explain it well. It’s so cool to know that even after so many years, we are still reading his sermon. Mashallah! 😀 Before when I was younger I thought it was pretty cool but now that I understand it more, I’m like Oh my Allah, this is soooo amazingg!!! Anyways here is the link, they first talk about the sermon and then actually say it:

Shortly before his death, Prophet Muhammad delivered a sermon during theHajj, which came to be known as his “Final Sermon”.  This final sermon was not only a reminder to his followers, but also an important admonition.  The final sermon confirms the end of his Prophetic Mission.

Year 10 A.H.  of the Islamic Calendar is considered to be one of the most significant years for three reasons.  Firstly, this was the year when the Prophet delivered his Last Sermon during his farewell pilgrimage to Mecca.  Secondly, this was the year where number of deputations came to the Prophet to announce their Islam as well as their tribes.  Thirdly, it was the golden period of Islam when multitudes of people embraced the faith by accepting the message of the Prophet.

Prophet Muhammad undertook his farewell pilgrimage in the year 10 A.H.  His farewell pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the most significant historical events in the minds of Muslims, for it was the first and last pilgrimage made by Prophet Muhammad, as well as being the model for performing the fifth pillar of Islam, theHajj.

Prophet Muhammad’s final sermon was delivered during the Hajj of the year 632 C.E., the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th month of the lunar year, at Arafat, the most blessed day of the year.  There were countless Muslims present with the Prophet during his last pilgrimage when he delivered his last Sermon.

The Final Sermon:

After praising, and thanking God, the Prophet, may God send His praises upon him said:

“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again.  Therefore, listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust.  Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners.  Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you.  Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds.  God has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived.  Your capital, however, is yours to keep.  You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity.  God has Judged that there shall be no interest, and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn Abd’al Muttalib shall henceforth be waived…

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion.  He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you.  Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under a trust from God and with His permission.  If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness.  Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers.  And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship God, perform your five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadan, and offer Zakat.  Perform Hajj if you have the means.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve.  An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; white has no superiority over black, nor does a black have any superiority over white; [none have superiority over another] except by piety and good action.  Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood.  Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly.  Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before God and answer for your deeds.  So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born.  Reason well, therefore, O people, and understand words which I convey to you.  I leave behind me two things, the Quran and my example, the Sunnah, and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and it may be that the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly.  Be my witness, O God, that I have conveyed your message to your people.”

Thus the beloved Prophet completed his Final Sermon, and upon it, near the summit of Arafat, the revelation came down:

“…This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My Grace upon you, and have chosen Islam for you as your religion…” (Quran 5:3)

Even today the Last Sermon of Prophet Muhammad is passed to every Muslim in every corner of the word through all possible means of communication.  Muslims are reminded about it in mosques and in lectures.  Indeed the meanings found in this sermon are indeed astounding, touching upon some of the most important rights God has over humanity, and humanity has over each other.  Though the Prophet’s soul has left this world, his words are still living in our hearts.

Assalaamualaikum wr wb sisters,

I think we’ve all noticed that bullying is a huge issue. I mean seriously, it’s caused hundreds of deaths. Now that’s what I call scary and going too far. And you know what’s worse? People, mainly kids,  still bully each other. That’s a bit silly and ridiculous.

This is how the bullying game starts. A kid is having a bad time or has a harsh life or something so guess what? To have “fun”, the kid decides to make some another kid have a bad time. This makes the other kid either do suicide or bully someone else or rarely, get help. Look if there’s anyone out there that’s a bully, you’re a coward and you’re sick. We all have to go through some hardships but that doesn’t mean we go and attack someone else to make their lives miserable as well. The world is already scary as it is, don’t add to it. If you’re having a hard time, go to someone, there’s always someone who can help! Or if you don’t go for help, just deal with it and try to make it better.

Now, as for the victim, do NOT do suicide. That’s the most ridiculous I’ve ever heard of. You’d rather have death than someone to bully you?! Death where your soul is taken away and you’re in a cold and dirty grave. A grave filled with bugs and other nasty things. All alone… You’d rather have that?! If someone cam up to me and said you have 2 choices: either you die or you let someone torment you, I’ll choose the latter. ‘Coz dying doesn’t help, it makes it worse. Actually, I think it’s a bit selfish too. Taking your own life just to get rid of your problems. What about all your loved ones? Don’t say “My life is miserable and I don’t have anyone.”, ‘coz that’s not true. You might think that, but no. There has to be at least one person who loves you and will cry for you if you die.

So don’t kill yourself ‘coz I’m telling you right now, it’s not gonna be fun. Maybe you might say that I don’t know how it feels to be a bully or the victim. But well I think I do, I got bullied once back in kindergarten. This kid used to always take my stuff but he was mentally retarded so yeah… So then one day I got mad and hit him where it hurts lol, he never took my stuff again. But anyways I was only 5 and I knew there was another solution to it than doing suicide.

If someone bullies you, I guess you should… talk back in a confident manner? Or maybe just ignore it all together. Or maybe, if you want the world a happy place, get to know that bully and maybe you can solve whatever is bothering him/her.

Anyways my last point is bullying is wrong. Don’t be the bully or the bystander and don’t do suicide.

Ooh and one more thing, very important: Keep calm and have patience ‘coz there’s always God there to help you. You’re never alone, you might have nobody but you do have God. 🙂 Don’t worry after every hardship, there is ease. One day the light you’ve been waiting for will come.

Jazakallahu khayran. 🙂

Assalaamualaikum wr wb sisters,

I think all of you must have heard about this already, it’s really devastating and scary. I feel so bad for the kids and parents and teachers there, if it was me, I’d be scarred for life. Well I don’t know what to say. I guess just remember this in your prayers/duas and remember there are a lot of other horrible things going on in this world, and remember to be grateful that a lot of really scary things like this didn’t happen to you. And if it did happen to you, remember that there are more worse things that did not happen to you. Yeah well I really am speechless, so I guess that’s all. Spread love, peace, and hope.

Assalaamualaikum wr wb sisters,

I think we all know the story of Adam and Eve, is that right? Well if you don’t, I’ll just briefly tell you what happened: Adam and Eve were in Paradise doing as they pleased. Allah told them they can eat every fruit except fruit from one tree. Satan came and told them lies and stuffs and persuaded them to eat from that tree. Adam and Eve then realized their sin and repented. Allah accepted their repentance. Well at least that is the story that we Muslims believe. I think it’s a bit different in Christianity….

But here comes the difference between Islam and Christianity.

“The woman you put here with me she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it.” Consequently, God said to Eve:

” I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband and he will rule over you.”

To Adam He said:

“Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree …. Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life…”

Genesis 2:4-3:24

You see, in Christianity, it is truly kinda against womens rights, don’t you think? It seems like (in Christianity) that Allah only blamed Eve? Only the woman? When Adam also ate the fruit? I mean HE MADE THE CHOICE to eat it too. So it’s both their faults. So why you only blaming it on the woman?

Anyways but in Islam, it is believed it was both their faults. ‘Coz both of them got minds and both of them can make their own decisions, you know what I’m saying?

In the Qur’an, everyone has to take blame for their OWN sins:

“That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. And that man can have nothing but what he does (of good and bad). And that his deeds will be seen, Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense [fair] ” (Quran 53:38-41)

Well yeah I hope you guys got the point. No hate intended towards anyone! Jazakallahu khayran and forgive me if I offended you in any way because I assure you it was not intentional.

~Just the truth, with evidence.~

BTW: Don’t you think the Aurora Borealis is so awesome?! It’s soo omg!! 😀 Amazing, mashallah!

Assalaamualaikum wr wb sisters,

To tell you the truth, I have no clue whatsoever what is happening in the world, including what the hack is happening with Palestine and Israel. I just gave up watching the news long, long ago. It’s just either too sad or messed up lies. Anyways, all I know is that there is fighting between them and I think there has been a peace treaty… Anyways I do know for sure that Palestine is in huge conflict and well yeah.. I’m pretty sure everyone is praying for everything to be peaceful there and for Palestine to be free, but if you haven’t yet prayed for them, you should. You think your life sucks? What about theirs? Their lives are filled with torture. So just keep in mind about that and be thankful for what you have. Oh yeah Happy Thanksgiving. And tomorrow is Ashura, so enjoy that too! 🙂
